The real joy that comes from age is how open we become to understanding the joy, pain, hopes, dreams and experiences of others but in a way that moves us to action. Over the past several years, this shift has inspired me to make dramatic changes in both my professional and personal life. My career journey is much more centered today on building up others. When we reach a point where our purpose is focused on helping to stoke the fire of future leaders, that’s a really meaningful place to be. Nowhere was this feeling more apparent than during my visit to the Rockville Correctional facility in Indiana.

For the past few years, I have been beating the drum on how important “male allyship” is to real progress in closing the gender gap and accelerating the advancement of female talent. Yes, it’s been a consistent message of mine and one that I am trying to live out loud in leading Integrating Women Leaders (IWL). Over the last 12 months, I have had a few humbling experiences related to allyship causing me to pause and reflect on my own privilege and the opportunity I have to help others on their equality journeys.

Fortune 500 Company Leaders Join New IWL Male Ally Advisory Group

Organization behind acclaimed annual women’s conference establishes Male Ally Advisory Group to further allyship initiatives across the board. 


(INDIANAPOLIS — Aug. 22, 2019) — Integrating Women Leaders (IWL) Foundation announces the creation of the organization’s first advisory group focused on the development of male allies, the IWL Male Ally Advisory Group. The group will include perspectives from leaders at companies of all sizes, ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Founding members include leadership from Eli Lilly & Co., Cummins and Humana.

(INDIANAPOLIS — August 29, 2018) — Integrating Women Leaders (IWL) held the ninth annual IWL Women’s Leadership Conference on Tuesday at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis, IN. Nearly 1,200 individuals representing 25 states, including over 120 male allies, were exposed to thought-provoking keynotes, panels and breakout sessions. Attendees were also given a preview of IWL’s new branding and expanded strategic mission.

Nikki Jackson, Jennifer Willis to Headline 2017 Women’s Leadership Conference in Louisville

INDIANAPOLIS (April 6, 2017) - This year’s Integrating Woman Leaders Conference, led by IWL Foundation, will be headlined by keynote speakers Nikki Jackson of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Jennifer Willis of Humana, and Darleen Santore of Performance@HigherDegree. The event, occurring on April 20 at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, will also feature a broad array of panel speakers and a theme—I Got This!—inspired by 2016 Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez and positive self-­‐talk.

The Integrating Woman Leaders Foundation Annual Conference Sells out in Record Time and Plans for Future Growth

INDIANAPOLIS (July 20, 2016) - The 7th Annual Integrating Woman Leaders Foundation (IWL Foundation) Women’s Leadership Conference on August 23, 2016 sold out over a month ahead of schedule. It’s third sell out in a row, the conference attracts 550 women and men every year and is designed to propel women to the next stage of life and career through empowerment, support and connections.
