Board Member Spotlight: Kelley Gay, VP, Corporate Marketing and Communications, OneAmerica

For our first IWL Board Member Spotlight, we want to recognize someone who, in recent months, has given generously of her time and talents to elevating IWL Foundation to new heights. Kelley Gay, Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Communications for OneAmerica Financial Partners Inc., is not only a prized asset on our board, but a strong woman we are proud to know.

A veteran of 19 years in the financial services industry, Kelley was recently recognized by the Indianapolis Business Journal (IBJ) as a 2017 Woman of Influence for her success at OneAmerica. The IBJ article highlights, “Under her guidance, the creative design team experienced a 25 percent reduction in project completion time, which adds up considering the group produces more than 5,000 print and digital projects annually.” You can read the full article here.

With her mind for strategy, Kelley has taken a leadership role in the strategic planning and visioning for the future of IWL – a project the staff and board have taken on as we wrap up our fourth year as a not-for-profit. Her valuable experience is taking us far as we take a close look at what the exciting future holds for IWL Foundation.

Besides being an accomplished woman in business, Kelley is a passionate girls basketball coach. A collegiate player on the University of Connecticut 1995 National Championship team, she knows what it takes to work hard to achieve a collective goal. Kelley shares this love of sports with her husband of 17 years, David, and children, Jacob, Gabriella, and Myles. Her other passions include developing strong leaders and women’s advocacy, which serve her IWL Board position well.

To Kelley, IWL represents opportunity:

“Opportunity to to make change – by tapping into 100% of our talent. Whether it’s at the professional level or at an organizational level, IWL is committed to helping foster the right environment for growth.

“On a personal level, I am at the point in my career where I know my role is to help others get to a new personal destination.  It could be by helping them find courage to tackle tough stuff or the confidence to take on new challenges.

“I am proud to serve this mission, alongside my dedicated and inspiring Board colleagues and the team of IWL.”

Thank you, Kelley, for your contribution to IWL Foundation. It’s because of people like you that we are able to make a difference for women and men on gender inclusion.
